Oli hobbles to series win

Three times GB Olympic team mountain biker and Endura sponsored rider, Oli Beckingsale, regularly visits the Centre for Sports Studies for sports science and sports therapy support. He has now begun his campaign to make London 2012 his fourth Olympic Games

Last week saw the final on the UK national series take place at Newnham Park in Plymouth.

Unfortunatley due to the broken hip I could not take part in the race but hobbled on down with my family in town for a day at the races as a spectator and to pick up my 7th Senior Series Title.

The series overall is based on your best 4 out of 5 results and after a good run of races the title was mine with a round to spare.

Another rule is that you need to attend the final to get the title. Thankfully I did not need to start the race, being able to get up the steep steps to the podium was good enough.
